Come join our Adult Beginner Ballet classes and enjoy this wonderful art form in a relaxed environment alongside others. At Kelly’s Dance Academy our aim is to provide enjoyable classes in a no pressure environment, inspiring you and helping you build skills each step of the way.
Whether you are reliving your younger self dreams of being a Ballerina or wanting to try a dance for the first time, you will be able to join in through the class at your own pace and we are sure you will love this wonderful dance genre.
The classes cover Ballet exercise at the barre, centre work, adages, learning choreography and group stretches. Classes and exercises can be adapted where necessary and flexibility is not necessary! You will be amazed how much the classes improve your flexibility, stamina, posture and general wellbeing.
Classes can be purchased on a 10 class pass or paid casually as you attend.
No uniform required, you are welcome to wear clothes that you feel comfortable in although please ensure we can see your legs to assist with correct turn out and placement (e.g no baggy pants) Bare feet / socks are fine until you get Ballet shoes.

Kelly started dancing at the tender age of 3 years old and immediately fell in love with dancing in all its forms. Throughout her training at a prestigious dance academy in Essex, UK, Kelly participated in examinations, festivals and competitions in and around Essex and London.
Kelly is trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz and stage performance, completing exams in the Imperial Society Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi. During dance college Kelly continued her Ballet training in Cecchetti Classical Ballet and also trained in contemporary, hip hop and lyrical. After graduating from college with a double-distinction Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance), Kelly went on to work as a professional dancer in the UK. During her work as a dancer and performer Kelly worked alongside many professional choreographers and entertainers in shows across the UK including theme parks, cabarets and pantomimes.
Kelly taught at various dance schools and colleges in the UK for both children and adults, teaching Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap dancing as well as choreographing for productions. After moving to Australia Kelly continued with teaching children’s dance classes before forming her own dance school to share her love of dance with others.
